The "City of Champions" is located a few minutes from downtown Dallas and a quick 20 minute drive from Fort Worth making Duncanville a popular place for commuters looking for easy access to major highways in northern Texas.

With a warm climate, the town is also becoming a popular spot for retirees. A handful of golf courses and a nearby lake with boating and fishing facilities provide an outlet from the heat. The city spends thousands of hours each year maintaining its landscape and parks, and a full time horticulturist is responsible for maintaining flower beds, walkways and fountains.
